EPA Issues Electric Sector Report Showing IRA Spurs Up to 83% GHG Reductions by 2030

On September 2023, EPA released a report on electricity sector greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through 2031 as required by the Low Emissions Electricity Program under IRA section 60107. The findings indicate that IRA programs are forecasted to reduce 2030 electric power sector GHG emissions 49-83% below 2005 levels.
