Type: Rollback of IRA
On March 25, 2025, EPA updated terms and conditions for federal grants, sending to Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund grantees (currently litigating EPA’s unlawful funding freeze) new language suggesting EPA may terminate funding unilaterally “if an award no longer effectuates the program goals or agency priorities,” for both new awards and “funding amendments (incremental and supplemental).”
These grants are funded by IRA section 60103, appropriating $27 billion to EPA to establish the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.
