GSA Announces Contract for Sustainable Improvements to U.S. Courthouse in Kentucky Using IRA Funds

Date: 10/17/2024
Type: Implementation of IRA

On October 17, 2024, GSA announced that it had awarded a contract to Achuti, a Native American-owned firm based in North Carolina, for a repair project to the U.S. Courthouse Annex in London, Kentucky. The contract is funded with $355,000 from IRA section 60503, which appropriated funds to GSA to support the use of low-carbon building materials in federal facilities. The project will, among other things, repave sidewalks in front of the courthouse with low-embodied carbon concrete.
