GSA Awards $2.7 Million Design & Build Contract for Otay Mesa Land Port of Entry in California

On September 26, 2024, GSA announced that it had selected Guardian Construction for a design and build contract for the pedestrian paving project at the Otay Mesa Land Port of Entry in San Diego County, California. The project will replace the current exterior porcelain tiles with low-embodied carbon concrete at the pedestrian inspection facility.

The construction project is funded by IRA section 60503, which appropriated funds to GSA to support the use of low carbon materials in federal facilities.
