Type: Implementation of IRA
On February 3, 2026, NOAA published a notice that the Gulf Fishery Management Council will be holding a public meeting on March 3, 2026 to hear public input on actions affecting Gulf fisheries. The meeting will be held in a virtual format. Among the topics discussed at the meeting will be an update on the Council’s IRA-funded projects.
The Council was one of eight regional fishery management councils to receive funding from NOAA, appropriated in IRA section 40001. This funding is to support coastal communities in building climate resiliency.
