On October 19, 2023, HUD announced it is awarding $103.4 million in loans and grants to renovate low-income household homes to be zero energy and resilient under the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP). HUD also released its Climate Resources for Housing Supply Framework, which provides information on how climate-related investments can support the development of affordable housing. IRA section 30002 provides funding for GRRP.
