Type: Implementation of IRA
On November 13, 2024, HUD announced that it had awarded $231,623 to St. Croix Apartments in Calais, Maine for energy efficiency and climate resilience upgrades. The property contains affordable rental homes housing 26 seniors. The funding will be used for installation of a rooftop solar system.
This funding was available through the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP). GRRP is a direct loan and grant program, which was created and funded by IRA section 30002 to support projects that would improve the energy efficiency and climate resilience of the recipient-properties.
