Type: Implementation of IRA
On November 19, 2024, HUD announced that it awarded $30 million in grants and loans for 45 properties across 23 states under the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP). GRRP is a direct loan and grant program, which was created and funded by IRA section 30002 to support projects that would improve the energy efficiency and climate resilience of the recipient-properties. This is the last round of awards under the GRRP, bringing the program’s total to over $1.4 billion in awards across 42 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico through 12 rounds of funding.
