Type: Implementation of IRA
On September 5, 2024, HUD announced that it awarded $69.1 million for 11 properties across 10 states under the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP). GRRP is a direct loan and grant program, which was created and funded by IRA section 30002 to support projects that would improve the energy efficiency and climate resilience of the recipient-properties. These grants are the final round of awards for the Leading Edge grants under GRRP to “support owners in achieving an industry-leading net zero energy or net zero carbon building certification.”
