Type: Implementation of IRA
On August 1, 2023, HUD announced that it is seeking public comments on the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program Application process. The Green and Resilient Retrofit Program is funded through section 30002 of the IRA, “Improving Energy Efficiency or Water Efficiency or Climate resilience of Affordable Housing,” which authorizes HUD to take a number of actions to improve the climate resiliency of eligible properties.
On October 3, 2023, HUD extended the public comment period on the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program Application process by 30 days. Comments were previously due October 2, 2023 and are now due November 2, 2023.
