On November 26, 2025, NOAA published a notice that the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council will be holding a multi-day public meeting from December 16–18, 2025 to hear public input on actions affecting Mid-Atlantic fisheries. The meeting will be in hybrid format, with in-person and virtual attendance options. Among the topics discussed at the meeting on December 18 will be an update on the status of the Council’s IRA-funded initiatives.
The Council was one of eight regional fishery management councils to receive funding from NOAA, appropriated in IRA section 40001. This funding is to support coastal communities in building climate resiliency.
