Type: Implementation of IRA
On August 1, 2023, NOAA announced it will be investing $3 million from the IRA to support the construction of a new marine discovery visitor center at the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary in Port Angeles, Washington. IRA section 40002 provides funds for the construction of facilities to support the National Marine Sanctuary System as well as the construction and replacement of existing piers, marine operations facilities, and fisheries laboratories.
