NOAA Announces More Than $105 Million to Fund Salmon Recovery Projects in the West

On August 1, 2024, the National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration announced more than $105 million in funding for 14 salmon recovery projects in Alaska and along the West Coast. The funding is made available through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and IRA section 40002, which funds the Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund. This investment will supplement state and tribal programs and help in habitat restoration, stock enhancement, sustainable fisheries, and, research and monitoring.
