On September 21, 2023, NOAA awarded a $59.8 million contract to Manson Construction Company to renovate NOAA’s North Charleston pier facility in South Carolina. The renovation funded in part by IRA section 40002 which appropriates $150 million to NOAA for the construction of new and replacement of existing piers, marine operations facilities, and fish laboratories.
