On February 20, 2026, NOAA published a notice that the North Pacific Fishery Management Council will be holding a public meeting on March 6, 2026 to hear public input on actions affecting North Pacific fisheries. The meeting will be held virtually. Among the topics discussed at the meeting will be an update on the status of the Council’s IRA-funded initiatives.
The Council was one of eight regional fishery management councils to receive funding from NOAA, appropriated in IRA section 40001. This funding is to support coastal communities in building climate resiliency.
