North Pacific Fishery Management Council to Hold Public Meeting to Discuss IRA-Funded Projects

On November 14, 2024, NOAA published a notice that the North Pacific Fishery Management Council (NPFMC) will be holding a multi-day public meeting on December 2–10, 2024 to hear public input on various topics. NPFMC’s Advisory Panel will be hosting the meetings on December 3–6. During those days, the Panel will discuss, among other things, issues related to IRA-funded projects. The meeting will be in hybrid format, with in-person and virtual attendance options.

NPFMC was one of eight regional fishery management councils to receive funding from NOAA, appropriated in IRA section 40001. This funding is to support coastal communities in building climate resiliency.
