South Atlantic Fishery Management Council to Hold Public Meeting on June 30 & July 1, 2026, to Discuss IRA-Funded Projects

On June 4, 2026, NOAA published a notice that the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council will be holding a multi-day public meeting on June 30 and July 1, 2026 to hear public input on actions affecting South Atlantic fisheries. The meeting will be in hybrid format, with in-person and virtual attendance options. Among the topics discussed at the meeting will be an update on the status of the Council’s IRA-funded initiatives.

The Council was one of eight regional fishery management councils to receive funding from NOAA, appropriated in IRA section 40001. This funding is to support coastal communities in building climate resiliency.
