On February 24, 2025, NOAA published a notice that the Western Pacific Fishery Management Council will be holding a multi-day public meeting between March 13 and March 18, 2025 to hear public input on actions affecting Western Pacific fisheries. The meeting will be in hybrid format, with in-person and virtual attendance options. Among the topics discussed at the meeting on March 13 and 18 will be an update on the “regulatory review, community consultation and planning through the Inflation Reduction Act.”
The Council was one of eight regional fishery management councils to receive funding from NOAA, appropriated in IRA section 40001. This funding is to support coastal communities in building climate resiliency.
